With over 25 years of experience in the association sector, I bring a diverse background shaped by an unexpected yet meaningful career journey. I began my career in commercial real estate, where I developed strong skills in strategic planning, governance, finance, ethics, and volunteer engagement. During a period of market downturn, I made a pivotal transition into the association world—one that ultimately defined my professional path and purpose.
Today, I am proud to support the American College of Surgeons (ACS), a nonprofit professional medical association representing approximately 95,000 members across 144 countries. As the world’s largest surgical organization, ACS is dedicated to improving the care of surgical patients and upholding the highest standards of practice through education, quality initiatives, and ethical, evidence-based care.
I consider myself a brand ambassador for growth and successful pivots across multiple levels of leadership. I believe leadership is more than a position—it is measured by the ability to influence, develop, and elevate others. My career reflects this philosophy, with each transition strengthening my adaptability, curiosity, and commitment to purposeful leadership.
A defining moment in my journey was realizing that ACS helped shape a previous association I worked for earlier in my career. That connection reinforced my commitment to the association space and deepened my sense of purpose. Transitioning from the health information and privacy sector into supporting surgeons has allowed me to contribute to work that has a meaningful, global impact—advancing excellence for members and improving patient care worldwide.
