An entrepreneur and visionary leader for more than 20 years, Sherry Budziak is founder & CEO of .orgSource (provider of management and consulting services to associations/nonprofits) and co-founder of .orgCommunity (provider of new connections, inspiration and solutions to association leaders and suppliers). In addition to launching two organizations, Budziak has advised more than 200 organizations throughout her career in using technology to advance their organizations. She has helped both large and small professional and trade organizations improve operational efficiencies and member experiences, develop new products, as well as integrate and align IT resources to support strategic plans.
Prior to establishing .orgSource in 2005 and .orgCommunity in 2015, Sherry served as the associate executive director of IT and web services for a major medical association as well as COO of its for-profit subsidiary company, assisting more than 150 associations with website development. She project managed one of the first–if not the first—association website, transcended Y2K, advised organizations through the “.com era”, moved to the cloud, and now is studying "what’s next".
Sherry is an active participant in and an award-winning member of the association community, serving in key volunteer roles at WSAE and Association Forum. She frequently writes and speaks for WSAE, Association Forum, ASAE, ISAE, AAMSE, and digitalNow. In 2010, she was honored by the Association Forum as the John C. Theil Distinguished Service Award winner—given annually to an individual who has demonstrated consistent and significant contributions to the association community on a volunteer basis.
