Program Description:
Join Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi of Illinois' 8th district for a discussion about public policy and how they impact the association community. Raja is excited to learn about the association community in his legislative district and has agreed to come and talk with our community about what is going on in DC and hear the concerns of associations in his district and Chicagoland Community.
Attendees will learn:
key issues facing Congress
how to identify top legislative bills impacting associations
how to network with association leaders and advocacy/public policy staff
About Congressman Raja:
Raja was elected in November 2016 to represent the 8th District of Illinois, which includes the west and northwest suburbs of Chicago. Raja’s policy platform focuses on growing and strengthening the middle class by supporting small businesses, rebuilding our infrastructure, and protecting Social Security and Medicare.
Note: This program is not endorsed, accredited, or affiliated with ASAE or the CAE program. Applicants may use any program that meets eligibility requirements in the specific timeframe towards the exam application or renewal. There are no specific individual courses required as part of the applications – selection of eligible education is up to the applicant based on his/her needs.
