Over the past 25 years, Doug has assisted over 500 nonprofit and public organizations, including many associations such as the International/American Associations for Dental Research, the International Economic Development Council, the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers, the American Health Information Management Association, the National Park and Conservation Association, the American Association of Diabetes Educators, and the National Association of of College and University Business Officers, among many others.
Through his 21 books and over 100 articles, Doug has played a leading role in shaping the field of nonprofit/public leadership and management. His books include the just-released The Board-Savvy CEO: Building a High-Impact Board-CEO Partnership, Leading Out-of-the-Box Change, the award winning Extraordinary Board Leadership, and the best-selling Meeting the Governing Challenge and Building a Rock-Solid Partnership With Your Board.
