Membership 360: Year-round strategies to improve Membership Engagement and Strengthen Your Organization’s Value Proposition
Retaining your members isn't just in what you do the last few months of each year; every element of your association plays a role in why your members join and remain your members, or why they leave. This course will frame your Membership Strategies from a holistic perspective, and help you approach evaluating your programs and
communications from a Member Value perspective, while providing real-world examples you can take back with you.

Matt Hessler, CAE, is an Association Manager at SmithBucklin, with 9 years’ experience in association membership and operations management. He currently serves two organizations; SITE- the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence, and ILEA – the International Live Events Association. Matt recently obtained his CAE, and was honored as a recipient of Association Forum and USAE’s Forty Under 40 Award in 2017.
Mike has a solid track record of successfully working with associations in a variety of areas, including member research, Board and staff facilitation, branding and marketing planning and execution, pricing and product development and dues restructuring. Leveraging his experience as the Vice President of Business Development, Mike is now setting the strategic direction for McKinley’s new business and oversees our Chicago office, where he is based. Mike is a frequent attendee and presenter at Association Forum events, and currently serves as the Chair of Association Forum's Editorial Working Group.
Mike began his career in journalism working for community newspapers in the Chicago area before becoming a reporter for a weekly newspaper of the American Medical Association. He then earned his MBA and moved to a health care consulting firm prior to joining McKinley’s team in 2008.
