Association Forum Welcomes the New Class of Certified Association Executives
CHICAGO (February 12, 2014)—Association Forum is pleased to announce that twenty-two of its members have recently received their Certified Association Executive credential from the CAE Commission of ASAE. These newly credentialed industry leaders are now amongst a class of more than 4,000 of their industry peers.
The CAE designation is designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance, and identify association professionals who demonstrate the knowledge essential to the practice of association management. By earning the sought-after credential, association professionals often experience heightened professional self-confidence, increased recognition, career advancement opportunities, and an expansion of their professional networks and connections.
“I know first-hand of the hard work and dedication it takes to successfully complete the CAE exam, and I congratulate the entire Winter 2014 class, and especially Christy Spahn, director of sales and sponsorship at Association Forum, for their dedication, hard work, and demonstrated commitment to advancing the professional practice of association management,” said Christie A. Tarantino, FASAE, CAE president and CEO of Association Forum.

To earn the CAE, candidates must first meet the eligibility requirements and then submit an application. Once the applications are accepted they must then take and pass the exam. After the credential is earned, it must be maintained by completing certification renewal requirements. Association Forum is recognized as a CAE Approved Provider. To support its members in their initial earning of the CAE credential, a 10-week CAE Study Course, sponsored by Johnson Lambert, is offered twice yearly in conjunction with the exam dates. Participants in Association Forum’s CAE Study Course continue to exceed the national pass rate.
For association professionals who have already earned their CAE but need to continue to acquire CAE credits to meet the renewal requirements, they can do so by participating in the vast majority of in-person and online programs offered by Association Forum.
