Education SIG: Quantitative AND Qualitative, not Quantitative vs Qualitative

When:  Mar 15, 2018 from 09:00 to 10:30 (CT)

Who: Educational Program Development SIG
Fee: Complimentary with membership
CAE Credit Hours: 1.5
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Location: Association Forum Headquarters

Program Description: Theo Epstein, Chicago Cubs president, often speaks about balancing statistics with intangibles, such as intuition, character and adaptability, to build winning teams. This philosophy can also be applied to Education and Program Development. Like baseball, the programming process requires a collection of incredible amounts of data as well as less quantifiable information like experiences and emotion that drive decision making – both for the Education host and the participant. Using the analogy of baseball (and a few references to the Chicago Cubs), we’ll show how to analyze all of the information available to an association to determine what will deliver the best, most reliable results. Case studies and participant engagement will allow everyone to walk away with something.
Bring a Guest
We know one is a lonely number. That’s why we invite you to bring a guest to a Shared Interest Group meeting. Not a member? No problem. Non-members can attend one complimentary event before becoming a member of Association Forum. Join others with shared interests and discuss issues, ideas and trends. All guests must be pre-register themselves!
Note: This program is not endorsed, accredited, or affiliated with ASAE or the CAE program.  Applicants may use any program that meets eligibility requirements in the specific timeframe towards the exam application or renewal. There are no specific individual courses required as part of the applications – selection of eligible education is up to the applicant based on his/her needs.
