About the Presenters:
Wallace James Meyer, Chief Financial Officer, Choose Chicago
Since 2010, James Meyer has been chief financial officer for Choose Chicago, the city’s marketing destination organization. As Choose Chicago’s CFO, Meyer is responsible for establishing the strategic and financial direction of the organization, while managing all financial functions. He also works closely with state and city agencies to ensure that taxpayer funds are used appropriately and in accordance with state and city guidelines.
Meyer came to Choose Chicago from Loop Paper recycling, where from June 2009 until June of the following year he served as controller and general manager. Prior to that, from 2002-2008, Meyer was controller at Berman Industries, a global distribution company. From 1998 until 2001, he served as manager of accounting and finance for Hadady Corporation in Dyer, Indiana, a privately held manufacturing company.
