Arlis M. Whalum, CPA, is a chief financial executive experienced in leading overall financial strategies across the organization-- accounting and finance, financial reporting and analysis, program financial analysis, budgeting & forecasting, investments, legal, risk management, tax & audit and financial education.
She has extensive experience transforming financial and business practices that will align to support strategy and growth. She has an established reputation for innovative financial solutions to business practices, internal controls and team alignment.
Whalum’s career includes Chief Financial Officer for PCMA; audit and assurance practices at the predecessor to Ernst & Young; corporate financial analysis, reporting and financial operations with the predecessors for Baxter International and Traveler’s Relocation; and comprehensive financial operations at American Planning Association.
Whalum received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Roosevelt University in Chicago, a MBA in non-profit management and D. Min in non-profit leadership from the Graduate Theological Foundation.
