An orientation for association professionals, Association 101 is designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge and appreciation for the unique environment, culture and dynamics of associations.

Jacqualine Price Osafo, CAE, is the director of membership and development for the Water Quality Association (WQA). Jackie is responsible for recruitment, retention, member benefits, sponsorship, and non-dues revenue for more than 2,500 member companies who served the water treatment industry. Jackie is the staff liaison for three Sections and the Membership Committee. As the staff liaison to the Business Operations Task Force, Jackie is charged with identifying speakers and topics for annual convention. As a member of the Leadership Team, Jackie participates in the planning and implementation of WQA’s organizational strategies.

Jackie has served as a presenter for: Forum Forward, Holiday Showcase, Association101, and co-facilitator for the CAE Study Group. Jackie was previously the chair of the Membership SIG, Membership Task Force, and Forum Forward. Jackie has also served on ASAE’s Membership Sectional Council, Membership Development Committee, and CAE Community Outreach Committee. Jackie is the recipient of the 2017 Association Professional Achievement Award.

Amy Thomasson is a marketing strategist, content creator and storyteller with 12+ years’ experience in marketing, product management, and business development. She has worked in a variety of business environments ranging from fortune 500 to professional associations. Amy currently serves as Director, Marketing for the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
 
Amy is incredibly passionate about volunteerism within the association and nonprofit management community, and currently serves as Vice Chair of Association Forum’s Editorial Working Group. She is also a 2018 recipient of Association Forum and USAE’s Forty Under 40® Award. Amy has a BA in Communication from the University
of Missouri-Columbia, an Executive Leadership certificate from Cornell University, and is working on a Professional Fundraising certificate with Boston University.
