How will changing trends in the economy, government, generational workforce and more affect your association?
Find out in this session presented by Dean West, president of Association Laboratory, where he will share findings from “Looking Forward 2018,” the company’s annual benchmarking scan of the association business environment. The scan identifies critical factors affecting associations and the potential implications for association strategy by surveying association management personnel at various levels and consultants and suppliers to the association industry.
The research tests more than 60 different environmental factors with potential to significantly impact association members. This includes factors related to the economy—such as increased competition among organizations within the industry—and related to the information environment—such as managing multiple information sources—as well as changes in the relationship of associations to state and federal government. The study also highlights factors important to workforce and global issues and tests more than 50 potential implications on association strategy.
In this half-day session, West will highlight takeaways from the study and introduce how these environmental factors are shaping the leadership environment. He will also share solutions to the key challenges in front of us.
