Program Description:

In order to fulfill our long-term professional aspirations, we need to not only excel in our current positions for our organizations but ALSO grow in our careers. This can be challenging for young professionals, as we’re not always confident that we’re doing everything we should in the area of personal development. What can be even more intimidating is making difficult decisions in order to overcome the vast array of challenges and uncertainty in a fiercely competitive job environment.

Advancing your career by creating a personal brand, getting involved in professional communities, and building a strong network of peers and mentors are key - but how do association professionals really go about doing so? How can we improve in these areas, overcome adversity, bring others along in our growth, and become influencers of our organization’s culture?

Join this dynamic session to hear from colleagues about the paths they’ve taken to advance their careers and learn about the steps you can take to best prepare for attaining the future you desire.
Panelists:
-Kathryn Dattomo, Executive Director, ASGE Foundation
-Mitch Dvorak, Executive Director, IAOMS and IAOMS Foundation
-Joe Lindahl, Senior Operations Manager, AMC
-Alleeshia Williams, CEM, Registration Manager, Convention Data Services
