The Tax Cuts & Jobs Act created a multitude of income
tax changes for all U.S. taxpayers. Unfortunately, certain changes that
impact exempt organizations, including executive compensation, qualified
transportation fringe benefits, and unrelated business income tax are not as
well known or understood. This seminar will take an accessible look at
changes specific to exempt organizations and their practical challenges for

About the Presenter:
John Huskins, CPA
Principal, Johnson Lambert LLP
John Huskins is a Principal with Johnson Lambert LLP, a multi‐office, niche‐focused firm that provides audit, tax, and advisory services to not‐for‐profit organizations, employee benefit plans, and insurance entities. John has been providing tax services for nonprofits for 14 years. He has been with Johnson Lambert for eight years and oversees the firm’s not‐for‐profit tax and compliance practice. John is responsible for research, unrelated business income tax planning, and taxing authority representation
services for a wide variety of non‐profits including trade associations, professional societies, large philanthropic organizations, and agricultural organizations. He also provides specialized training for the nonprofit industry directly and through partnerships with various professional organizations. John lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with his wife and two children. He enjoys traveling, running, relaxing on the beach, and watching and playing football.
