Association Forum, USAE Announce 3rd Annual Forty Under 40 Awards for Association, Nonprofit Professionals

CHICAGO (June 1, 2015) - For the third consecutive year, the Association Forum and USAE weekly newspaper is pleased to announce the launch of the Forty Under 40® Awards program. This program recognizes 40 professionals of trade and professional associations, association management firms, and charitable or philanthropic entities who are 39 or younger and who demonstrate strong leadership skills, leadership potential and a commitment to the association industry.

Applications for Forty Under 40 Awards will be accepted through July 31. Individuals may apply at www.associationforum.org/40under40. The Association Forum’s Awards & Recognition Committee will announce the names of Honorees in mid-September.

The 2015 Forty Under 40 Honorees will be recognized and celebrated in several ways:

  • Profiles and interviews will be published in a special Forty Under 40 Awards section of USAE newspaper;
  • A Forty Under 40 Awards reception will be held Dec. 14 at the Ivy Boutique Hotel in Chicago; and
  • During Association Forum’s Holiday Showcase lunch on Dec. 15.

“The Forty Under 40 Awards fills an important need in our community as it shines a national spotlight on the contributions of individuals in association and nonprofit management,” stated Association Forum President and CEO Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE. “We understand that over time, these ‘best of the best’ individuals will redefine and lead us into the association model for the future.”

Anne Daly Heller, executive editor and publisher of USAE, also hailed the program, which received more than 120 applications last year: “USAE is delighted to continue partnering with the Association Forum in this innovative way to recognize the next generation of association leadership. Giving back to the association community is an integral part of USAE. Co-sponsoring the Forty Under 40 Awards is in the best tradition of what we do for associations and their future leaders.”

Five members of the association community are joining the Association Forum and USAE as the Sponsors of the Forty Under 40 Awards.
